The Florida franchise wants to be the protagonist of the tournament
In its second season in MLS, Inter Miami wants to continue writing its history and be a protagonist. In that sense, David Beckham'steam made important additions to be able to compete as equals to the most important franchises in the US competition. In the first place, he decided that his friend Phil Neville would become the coach in charge, which meant an important change since there were no rumors of leaving the previous coach.
These days Kelvin Leerdam was added, the latest addition of him who has come from the Seattle Sounders. He signed a 3-year contract and will report to Inter Miami after the FIFA Date, in which he will begin, together with Suriname, his participation in the Concacaf World Cup qualifier, with a couple of matches against theCayman Islands and Aruba, in addition to becoming the Inter Miami's third signing, after the presentation of Ryan Shawcross (Stoke City, Premier League) and Gregore (Bahía, Brazil).
The new signing of Inter Miami comes from the hand of Chris Henderson, the new sports director of David Beckham's team, as the manager knows the capabilities of Leerdam after his time at Seattle Sounders and during his presentation, he assured that he is a great addition to the team that will face its second season in MLS.
“Kelvin's a dynamic defender, attacker with a lot of winning experience in this league. He is a great addition to our squad and we are looking forward to joining the team after his duties on the national team”, Herdenson said.
The Florida franchise club also brought in Patrick Seagrist (New York Red Bull) and Kieran Gibbs (West Bromwich Albion and past Manchester United). And we must not forget that he renewed Federico Higuaín's contract, so he will continue to play alongside his brother Gonzalo.
