There have been many rumours that Cristiano Ronaldo is going to return to Real Madrid or move to another club soon. However, the Portuguese international has slammed those rumours as 'disrespectful' and confirmed that his time at Real Madrid is over.

Cristiano Ronaldo has come out to debunk rumours that he is considering a return to former club, Real Madrid. The Portuguese international made a lengthy Instagram post to slam those who have been peddling such rumours whilst stating that his 'story at Real Madrid has been written.' Ronaldo has entered the final year of his contract at Juventus and a contract extension doesn't seem in sight.

In his Instagram post, the 5-time Ballon d'Or winner described as 'disrespectful', the media houses that are speculating over his future while he is still on the books at Allianz Stadium. He noted that the disrespect is not just to him but to all the clubs involved in the rumours as well as their players and staff. He reiterated that he has completed his chapter at the Santiago Bernabeu, one filled with goals and trophies.

The rumours over signing Ronaldo also prompted Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti to debunk all stories associating him with wanting to re-sign the forward. Despite having not signed a player for over 1 year, the Italian tactician confirmed that he is not trying to bring back the player. Ronaldo also debunked all rumours linking him to other clubs in other leagues.

The 34-year-old left the Santiago Bernabeu for the Allianz Stadium in the summer of 2018 after 9 successive years at the former. So far, he has scored an impressive 101 goals in 133 appearances for the Bianconeri on his way to winning 2 Serie A titles and 1 Coppa Italia. Despite entering the final 12 months of his contract, Ronaldo would hope to guide Juventus to the elusive UEFA Champions League title this season.
