José de Jesús Corona, the goalkeeper and captain of Mexican club Cruz Azul suffered an injury that has kept him out of action since July. He underwent surgery for a fracture in the proximal phalanx of the fifth finger of his right hand. At 40, he recently signed a contract for two more years at the club till he's 42 and maybe helped him pay the debt he claims to owe the club.
