Xavi Hernandez has given his green light for Dani Alves' return to Camp Nou. The former Al Sadd manager gave the green light to his former teammate to come back to Barcelona after rumour has it that his move will not be possible.
The Brazilian star has expressed his wish to play for Barcelona again and help the team overcome this trying period. The club means so much to him as it is where he achieved his greatest football feat.
All agreement has been made and he will soon put pen to paper with Barcelona. Dani Alves agreed to play for Barcelona for free considering the financial situation of the club and the fact. He is ready to help the club overcome its challenges and help former teammates in his new role. He will likely retire at Barcelona. The Blaugrana are financially unstable and will not want to burden the new coach with signing players.
Ironically Dani Alves will be Xavi's first signing as he was one of the very first of Pep Guardiola when he was signed from Sevilla. At 38 years old it is believed that Alves will be much useful in providing leadership at the club. With Sergino Dest not at his best he will be a good addition to the squad. Xavi has identified Sergio Roberto as a midfielder and Oscar Mingueza as a central defender, therefore the arrival of Alves will make the duo focus on their position as planned by Xavi.
