It has been an extremely long saga since Juventus started to try to extend Paulo Dybala's salary back in 2019. At first, in February 2019, when conversations got started, Dybala's agents said that the deal would be ready to sign for the start of 2019-2020 season. It clearly wasn't that way.

The last season, marked by the coronavirus pandemic which made everything much more difficult to calculate (many sponsors took their money out of the teams, son no-one wanted to get involved in huge investments. Now that things have normalized a bit, both parts have come back to the table. Dybala's demands are still the same: he wants 12 million dollars per year.

Juventus officials understand that his demands are logical. The player is currently earning 7 million per year. Juventus' first offer consisted in a raise of three million that depended on objectives achieved by the player. This offer was immediately refused by Dybala's agent, who saw in the offer a trick not to raise the players salary.

Paulo Dybala wants to stay in Juventus. He has showed that attitude many many times. But Juventus has doubts about paying him what he wants. On the other hand, Juventus know that Cristiano Ronaldo's tenure in Turin has an expiration day which is no long from now. Will Dybala's contract be his way out?
