He equalled Iker Casillas's appearance record of 177 appearances. He has also now scored most goals in the Champions League group stage with 68 goals.
He also equalled Lionel Messi's record of most teams scored against in the Champions League with 36 teams, scoring in his second attempt against Young Boys. He also equalled Messi's record of 16 consecutive seasons with a goal.
