East tennis career? Well not for everybody. Names like Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal are used to earn millions and millions of dollars in prizes and in endorsements. But some others struggle to succeed and barely make any sense of profit after investing lots of money time and effort to grow in the sports.

When they fail they look outside for some new challenges. Who is the owner? His name is Nasser Al-Khelaifi, he comes from Qatar. He was born in 1974 and is son and grandson of fishers. They became best friends, and even represented their country in the famous Davis Cup. But he only earned $16,000 from playing. Now, turn thousand into ‘billion’. Yes, his fortune is $16 billion.

Al-Khelaifi reached 995th place in the ATP world ranking and retired by 2002 to become a businessman. His close friend belonged to the royal family and created the Qatar Investment Authority and later the Qatar Sports Investment, to finance sporting projects in the whole world.
