In recent days, Italian media and Napoli fans have started calling Hirving Lozano Speedy Gonzales, alluding to his great speed compared to the cartoon character. Hirving Lozano showed to be in great shape and that earned him the nickname they gave him, but Hirving Lozano was not the only one who received a new nickname in 2020.

Weston McKennie is one of Juventus' revelations this year and that is why he earned the respect of Cristiano Ronaldo. Cristiano Ronaldo himself was the one who gave him the nickname "Texas Boy" and McKennie himself was the one who revealed his new nickname. Juventus really enjoys McKennie's level and Cristiano Ronaldo found in the USMNT player a perfect pair for his attack.

Real Madrid is one of the teams that started giving nicknames to all its players. The Marca newspaper revealed that Benzema was called "Monsieur" because of his French origin and that Federico Valverde was nicknamed the "little bird." Finally Tony Kroos changed his name to "Iceman" because of his coldness when interacting with others and his calm to play.

Former Real Madrid and current Tottenham player Gareth Bale earned the nickname "the golfer" because during his stay at Real Madrid and Tottenham he cared more about playing golf than being a footballer. This passion for golf reached such a point that Tottenham made a great court for Gareth Bale to have fun.
