This player was on top of the world in 2014. He had just won UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid in May, and two months later he lifted the World Cup with Germany. Some time later he left to another club, but he was slowly losing his spot in the starting eleven, and now he even has been left out of the squad.

Since, he has been desperately looking for a club. And according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, James Rodriguez, who shared the locker room with him at Real Madrid, offered him a hand. Carlo Ancelotti was their manager at the time, liked him, and is keen of him joining Everton. 

So this is how Sami Khedira can save his career. He will have to decide between playing in the Premier League and coming back to Stuttgart, the club where he started playing and gave him his professional debut. He went to being hopeless at Juventus to having two options in a matter of weeks.

Whatever team he chooses, it will probably be the last of Khedira's career. He is 33 years old and have been through many injury and confidence problems. He does not have much time left as a pro player, so he will want to use that time as best as possible, contributing to the team as a squad player and mentoring the youngsters.
