There were many players during the last years that was set to replace Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese legend made such a professional career that players from all over the world tried to equalize, but they couldn’t. His incredible conditions and his strict discipline make him being one of the best players ever, at the level of Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona, Pele or so.

Cristiano played at Manchester United and there he met someone who was supposed to be his inheritor. He is Federico Macheda, the Italian attacker that was formed at Lazio and joined the Red Devils on 2007. He played 36 games for the club, scoring five goals and giving six assists.

His number ended to be far away from those of CR7, even though he was called the new Cristiano. Despite being worth millions, he left many times on loan and finally, in 2014, Manchester decided to let him out for free, and he joined Cardiff City. During his career, he played for Sampdoria, QPR, VfB Stuttgart, Doncaster, Birmingham, Nottingham, Novara and Pananthinaikos.

With Mino Raiola as an agent, he could still play at many clubs and live from soccer, but his talent is not the same as the one he showed one day. In 2016, he didn’t find club for a couple of months and was a free agent and, since 2018, he is playing at Greece, where he has a contract until 2023.
