During the last years many clubs tried to work hard to find the new Cristiano, as the player who would be able one day to perform as him. Many were rumored to have his conditions but just a few prove to be at his level. One of those who was once a promise and ended in nothing was Alípio Duarte.

Born in Brazil he was also Portuguese and Real Madrid signed him with just 16 years to play for Castilla, in a time in which Cristiano was playing at Manchester United. The supposed wonderkid played until 2010 for the Galacticos but could never join the first team.

Despite what it was said about him, coaches considered that he didn’t have enough skill and decided to axe him. The attacker went to Benfica and then passed through many clubs from Spain, Greece, Portugal and Chipre. At his 28 years it is said that he has some economic problems for wasting the money he once gained at Real Madrid and plays in Brazilian third division for Tombense.
