FC Barcelona are set to reward youngster Ansu Fati with a new contract to reward him for his outstanding performances so far despite just returning from a lengthy injury layoff of 323days. The contract will increase his salary by more than double according to the available wage percentage of Barcelona.

Barcelona believes Ansu Fati is their next star after Messi. They moved on quickly from Messi's departure and have give Messi's number 10 jersey to Ansu Fati despite him being injured at that time. Ansu Fati broke a Lionel Messi record in his return by scoring in his first match with the jersey number 10, a feat Messi achieved in the second game.

Lionel Messi was allowed to leave Barcelona after the club were unable to register him as his salary will push the club's wages to 110% of their revenue which was impossible despite Messi taking a 50%. Barcelona are in big dilemma as they need to let go of their top earners to free up their wages.

The remaining 5% of Barcelona is about £4m which makes it difficult to have any new signing as such cannot receive more than that salary per year. So according to the remaining wage percentage, Ansu Fati's salary will be set to increase from about €45,000 to about €120,000 per week.
