If we talk about Chavez Jr, boxing will surely come to mind as a first option, but behind each person there is a long history of life and that is the case of the Argentine Nicolas Masseroni. Masseroni will fight with Chavez Jr but his history between soccer and boxing is very particular as he got to share the field with players like Erik Lamela.

When he was young, Nicolas Masseroni shared his two passions between boxing and soccer. His great overweight did not allow him to play easily and that is why he decided to be a goalkeeper. Masseroni had the example of his father who had been a boxer and that is why he also wanted to box professionally. That is why during his school days he was mixing boxing with soccer.

At the age of 16, Masseroni decided to go on a trial as a goalkeeper at River Plate and after a few months training there they decided that he was not tall enough for the position. During his time as a goalkeeper for River Plate, Masseroni had the honor of sharing the pitch with players like Erik Lamela. The current boxer confessed that he even save a penalty from Lamela.

After passing through River Plate, Masseroni dedicated himself to be a goalkeeper in indoor soccer but then decided that he wanted to be a boxer. Now, a few years after his time as a footballer, Masseroni will have the chance of his life when he faces a Mexican boxing legend like Cesar Chavez Jr.
