The first talks between Paulo Dybala and Juventus officials began in February 2019. At first renewing the contract of the Argentinian playmaker looked easy. But months gone by and things got complicated. In addition, 2020 came with the coronavirus pandemic, which made everything more difficult.

Since the begging Dybala's agents has been asking to Juventus to raise Paulo's salary to 12 million dollars. That's not even close to what Cristiano Ronaldo is earning, although it would be the second highest salary in Italy and one of the highest in the world.

Juventus was in favor of renewing the players contract, but since many sponsors have left the club due to the economical crisis now the club is offering just 7 million with ad ons to 10 million. That is to low for Dybala.

For that reason, fans got to social media and claimed that Juventus should get raid of some players that they consider useless, Italian like Federico Bernardeschi and Welsh Aaron Ramsey. They went even further and said that the club should sell does two players and give that money to Dybala.
