Currently the USMNT has many players around the world and that is an advantage for coach Berhalter as his players play in different leagues and not only in the MLS. The USMNT faces Panama with the majority of players who are in Europe but for December it is expected that there will be a Campus for the other players in the world. From Argentina there is a player who yesterday was the star against Boca Juniors and is doing everything for Berhalter to consider it at some point.

It is curious that an American player is playing in the Argentine league, but currently there are two in the first division. They are precisely brothers and sons of the historical defender of Boca Juniors Diego “Chiche” Soñora. While Soñora was playing in the MLS he had two children and therefore they have the possibility to play for the USMNT.

Against Boca Juniors, Joel Soñora became the first USMNT player to score a goal to Boca Juniors at the mythical “La Bombonera” stadium. Joel Soñora entered the second half in the Talleres de Cordoba team and quickly became the star of the match. Thanks to his goal and his skill, Talleres won the game 1-0.

Both Joel Soñora, 24, and Alan Soñora, 22, have the possibility of playing for the USMNT and Berhalter should consider them for the future of the national team. The two players have been showing that they have a high level and that they could compete for a place in the USMNT in the near future. Undoubtedly Berhalter should give them even a chance at the USMNT.
