One of the Spanish players who had the most hope was someone who played with Lionel Messi at Barcelona and who, due to some personal situations, did not transcend despite showing many conditions. On August 28, 1990 the footballer Bojan Krkic was born in Liñola, Spain, who emerged as one of the great promises of the Catalan team.

Bojan began his training gradually in the Barca Fútbol Base, Barca Cadete A, Barca Juvenil A and FC Barcelona B. Since then he presented a great generation of play and also contributed with goals. Finally in 2007 he managed to make his debut with the first team and in October of that same year he became the youngest player to score a goal with the Culé team shirt. He left his record at 17 years, one month and 20 days, leaving behind a mark that Messi had previously set.

The Spanish midfielder remained in Barcelona from 2007 to 2011 and his fight for the title was tough, since he had to be in the era of players like Messi, Samuel Eto’o, Thierry Henry, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He was a member of the Barcelona squads, which, at that time, won three Spanish leagues, two Spanish Super Cup, one King's Cup, two Champions League, one Club World Cup, two European Super Cup and one Intercontinental Cup.

Bojan Krkic's departure from Barcelona

In 2011 he finished his cycle with the team and went to Roma, Milan and Ajax in Amsterdam. With this last institution he won an Eredivisie and a Dutch Super Cup. In 2014 Bojan made it to the Premier League with Stoke City, however his scoring share was low. He was there for five seasons until they were demoted. He went to Mainz 05 in Germany and Alavés in Spain, but returned at the end of his loan.

In mid-2019, he was transferred to the Montreal Impact of Canada, which plays the Major League Soccer in the United States, where he is recognized by his peers and fans.

Bojan Krkic suffers from anxiety disorder

Bojan suffered from anxiety disorder that was overcoming different stages in life. In football he also regretted serious injuries. “I didn't go to Euro 2008 with anxiety problems. They called me with Spain to play against France and it was said that I had gastroenteritis, when in reality what I had was an anxiety attack. But nobody wanted to talk about this. Football was not interested”, said the 30-year-old footballer. After leaving Barcelona and going through various teams on the old continent, he was able to control his disorder and today he affirms that he is happy.

"I played in the best Barca of all time, in Milan, in Ajax, in Roma and I scored in the four major leagues, am I the promise that was not? How many people dream of having a career like this?”, he said in an interview with El País.
