Let's take a look at the top 5 most valuable players in the Premier League. The list is compiled by transfermarkt and it shows how the players evolved over the year.
Harry Kane takes the top spot of list with a value of £108 million, despite having a sluggish start to the season and only Premier League goal to date, his market value has remained at that figure since it fell from an eye-watering high of £135 million in December 2019.
The next spot is taken by another England international, Jack Grealish, who is worth £90m following his £100m move from Aston Villa to Manchester City at the start of the season. This is a huge improvement, considering he was valued at £58.5m in May.
Next on the line is Romelu Lukaku, he's ranked third at £90m after arriving at Chelsea from Milan at £100m. Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne is fourth with the same £90 million valuation.
It will surprise many that Mohamed Salah is down in fifth. The Liverpool talisman's value steadily declined from a high of £135 million in December 2019, despite his wonderful form so far this season which has seen him score 15 goals in 13 appearances across all competitions. But the explanation to this is that Salah valuation was done back in June and his value may have increased.
