Although they were rivals in the Liga MX from 2011 to 2015, Mexicans Alan Pulido and Raul Jimenez have a good relationship. They both went to their first World Cup together in Brazil in 2014. However, they both play as center-forwards and therefore are forced to compete for the starting spot on the Mexican National Team.

In this way, the striker of the Premier League club Wolverhampton is ahead of Pulido. Jiménez was a starter in the last two games played by the team coached by Gerardo Martino, while Pulido started on the bench in both games. Moreover, Jiménez scored a goal in the 1-0 victory over the Netherlands.

Not only is he going through one of the best moments of his career in the Mexican national team, but also in Wolverhampton. The 29-year-old striker has scored three goals in the last six games in the Premier League (against Sheffield United, Manchester City and Newcastle) and is his team's top scorer.

On the other hand, the striker of the Major League Soccer club Sporting Kansas City had a confrontation with Mexican last week. Pulido said that in Mexico people were laughing at his achievements in Major League Soccer. However, he said he is happy to be on the U.S. team.
