Olivier Giroud surprised the soccer world by announcing that he wants to play in MLS before the end of his career. While he wants to retire in League One, Giroud said he wants to play in MLS to see the league's level from within. MLS teams can already dream of having the Chelsea striker in their cities.

Giroud is 34 years old and knows that it is the last years of his football career and that is why he announced that he wants to play in MLS before retiring. Giroud, currently at Chelsea since 2018, is one of the most important footballers on the French team. In Chelsea he has scored 29 goals in 90 games and this season he has 1 goal in 3 games.

The arrival of young players in Chelsea made Giroud more competitive for his position. The arrivals of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Hervertz would complicate Giroud's chances at Chelsea. At the beginning of the year Inter Milan would have tried to buy the forward but were unsuccessful.

Although Giroud confessed that he had offers to go to MLS this season, he did not think it was the right time as he feels he can still perform in the best leagues in the world. That is why Giroud will wait until next season to decide whether before MLS he plays in France or directly goes to the United States.
