In the last hours, it was known that James Rodríguez left England and is already in Doha finalizing the details of his signing with Al Rayyan. His agent, Jorge Mendes, would have recommended that he travel to the capital of Qatar to meet with the sheikhs and get to know the city so that he would be encouraged to play Arab football. That journey would have been key to convince the coffee grower to leave England.

In Qatar they already take it as a fact. Several sources and journalists close to Al Rayyan have already confirmed that James Rodríguez will be the new superstar to play in the Qatar Stars League. The economic offer they made him was difficult to reject and there he could once again add important minutes of play to gain ground again in the Colombian National Team.

The truth is that James Rodríguez's career has been going from oldest to youngest for several years. With his great peak in 2014, which deposited him with Real Madrid, or his arrival at Bayern Munich, everything indicated that his career would have no ceiling. However, sooner rather than later, it seems to be ending.

James Rodríguez: How much will he charge at Al Rayyan?

Regarding the transfer, it is unknown if Al-Rayyan gave any sum of money to Everton, which seemed more interested in getting rid of the high salary of the Colombian, than in obtaining any economic benefit. James would earn around 11,184,912 euros a year, which would mean an increase of more than double the 4.5 million euros he received at Everton, at the rate of a salary with the Qatari club of 233,019 euros a week.
