Julio Rodríguez, a close friend and trainer of Claudio Bravo, spoke about the Chilean goalkeeper's future plans in an interview for La Redgoleta. There he explained that, although he cannot answer for Claudio Bravo because he is the one who decides, in the conversations that the Chilean goalkeeper had, he admitted that he would retire in Europe or in the MLS.

Regarding the return to his country, Julio Rodríguez admitted that despite talking about Colo Colo, he would not like to retire in Chile. He expressed that Bravo is very hurt with various situations that he experienced in his country and above all, with people around the Colo Colo club. Although he admitted that he would like to see the goalkeeper in Colo Colo, Rodríguez expressed that he would very much like him to play his last year in Colo Colo, but I think it will not be that way. What he says is not worth much, because he is the one who decides. He admitted that all this is an opinion and that I hope that one day Bravo will surprise with the decision.

The 37-year-old veteran goalkeeper will play in the 2020/21 season for Real Betis in the first division and has just played 61 games for Manchester City, where he was between 2016 and 2020. He had previously played for FC Barcelona, Real Sociedad and Colo Colo.
