James Rodríguez, after months of uncertainty, put an end to his novel with Everton. The Colombian decided to leave the Premier League to take on a new challenge in his career: signing for Al Rayyan of Qatar. Immediately, different rumors began to arise about how much the club would have paid to have it. 

This Sunday details of the negotiations between the Qatari team the "Toffees" were revealed. It was 8 million euros what James Rodriguez cost and it became the fifth most expensive transfer in the history of the Asian league.

As revealed by the Transfermarkt page, specialized in footballer transfers, the Colombian player is only surpassed by Shoya Nakajima (35 million) and Toby Alderweireld (13 million) to Al-Duhail, Christian Benítez (11.7 million) to El-Jaish and Nilmar (10 million).

What surprised fans the most is how much James will earn. As revealed by the English press, his contract would be for nine months, in which he would earn 800,000 pounds sterling every 30 days, that is, 1,092,546 dollars or 931,541 euros. From knowing these amounts, it can be calculated that, during his entire journey in Asia, he would receive 7,200,000 pounds. This figure in dollars is 9,833,079 and in euros it is 8,383,847.
