It was the Premier League of England that started the controversy with a statement warning that it would not let any club lend its players who are summoned for the South American Qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, since in that area the coronavirus is still more than present.

After LaLiga from Spain and Serie A from Italy joined, the repercussions began on the part of the protagonists, who almost entirely did not doubt that they were going to travel in any way, taking charge of the consequences if there were any.

But it is already official that it is not: the TAS responded to FIFA's request and ruled in favor of Conmebol saying that no competition could prohibit its players from moving to defend their country's jersey. It was Gonzalo Belloso, Deputy Secretary General of Soccer and Director of Development of Conmebol, who on Twitter wrote with great euphoria: "Justice! The TAS rejected the precautionary measure requested by the Spanish League, all players can play for their national teams, the release of them by clubs around the world is mandatory".
