There are a few days left for the closing of the summer transfer market and FC Barcelona is getting ready to hit the table. After the hiring of Oriel Romeu, Ilkay Gündogan and Iñigo Martínez, the president Joan Laporta is on his way to close the signing of Joao Cancelo, the Portuguese defender with whom Xavi Hernández has insisted so much in recent months.

Joao Cancelo was no longer considered to stay in Manchester City by Pep Guardiola's decision  since the Portuguese had an argue with him in the past season. According to the renowned jounrnalist Fabrizio Romano, the agreement between City and  Barça is definitive and only details remain to be resolved so that the Portuguese footballer travels to Barcelona this Thursday.

As announced in recent days, Cancelo's arrival at Barcelona was imminent. Now, the still City player awaits the green light to take a flight to Barcelona tomorrow, where he will pass the respective medical exams before signing his contract as a new “Culé”.

What is the price Barcelona will have to pay for Joao Cancelo?

Recently, Barça managed to sign Cancelo after presenting a transfer proposal. For this, it will allocate part of the money obtained from the sale of the Frenchman Ousmane Dembélé to PSG (25 million euros). Barcelona  accepted that the purchase option has to be mandatory at the end of next season, which leaves it room to balance the salary mass, while City has accepted that the transfer price is close to the 30 million euros offered by Barça. Cancelo could be debuting next Sunday in the match against Villarreal
