Lionel Messi has been ready to leave FC Barcelona for months, and that is will happen, very probably, at the end of the current season. There has been a lot of rumours about his next club, but not so much about what are the Cules going to do once he is out. Well, now there is someone set to take that number 10 shirt.

After the failures in Philippe Coutinho and Antoine Griezmann signings, FC Barcelona found someone who performs better, was much cheaper and is way younger than them, promising to get even better or at least be sold in exchange for an expensive fee. With his quality at 18 years old, he is set to be one of the best in the next years.

And that player is Pedri, someone who costed just 8 million euros to the club, when he came from Las Palmas. He has played 22 matches in the season, earned that starting spot so difficult to get, and his market value according to Transfermarkt rose to 50 million euro, the same as Eden Hazard and his Brazilian teammate.

Pedri made his debut with Spain U-21 a short time ago, but he might have his first senior match soon. Ronald Koeman, impressed by the youngster, considers he deserves to be called up for the Euros. With him and Ansu FatiFC Barcelona has its pick of young players ready to conquer the world.
