Real Madrid make Erling Haaland his priority transfer target for this summer ahead of Kylian Mbappé. According to Spanish media AS, the Borussia Dortmund striker has emerged as the 'Merengues's number one choice to lead the line ahead of Paris Saint-Germain French youngster.

This certainly means a massive blow to Chelsea and Manchester United and Manchester City, who were hoping to sign Haaland at the end of the season. The Norwegian international has scored a mind-blowing twenty-nine goals in twenty-eight games for Dortmund so far.

Since his arrival in Germany, Erling Haaland has an incredible total of forty-five strikes in forty-six matches for the 'Black and Yellows'. That has attracted interest from some European top clubs, with Chelsea believed to be in the running following Thomas Tuchel’s successful appointment.

Manchester United continue to be linked after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer worked with Haaland at Molde and Manchester City too. Liverpool are also said to be keen despite their shocking fall from grace. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich's coach Hansi Flick has confirmed his interest too.

However, Real Madrid are now thought to be leading the race for Haaland after club management agreed to make him their priority target. Kylian Mbappé has been Zinedine Zidane’s dream transfer this summer, but despite his contract ending in 2022, PSG are not willing to sell him and will try to keep him for one more year in order to hand him an extension.
