Wolverhampton are delighted with the excellent moment of Raúl Jiménez. The Mexican attacker performed incredibly well at the start of the season and is, so far, being the best player of the team. The Lobo of Tepejí, as he is known, scored four goals after eight matches played.

The good moment of Jiménez make Wolves sport advisers think that another Mexican player could be arriving and performing as well as him. That is the reason why they are interested on signing Edson Álvarez, the midfielder aged 23 who was also formed on America and currently plays for Ajax.

Álvarez and Jiménez are great friend and one of the best companions on Mexico national team. During the past FIFA international break, the last one of this year, they were both key players on the team coached by Gerardo Martino. Jiménez scored two goals on two appearances, against South-Korea and Japan.

Álvarez is clearly one of Mexico greatest prospects for the future. He played since 2017 in America’s former club first team and moved to Ajax on July 2019 for $15 million. His actual reported value is of $9 million, even though we may think that the Dutch side won’t let him go for less than $15 million, what hey paid of him, as he has a contract remaining until June 2024.
