The uncertainties around football moves are ones no one would be able to predict, not the player, not the signing club. Though some are predicted based on data, even those could be false. One never knows what decision would be made that would go wrong. Such is the "dream move" of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.

When Eden Hazard dazzled for Lille in Ligue 1 as a teenager, it was said he would end up playing for Real Madrid, it was just a matter of when. Chelsea moved for him in 2012 and there it became obvious that would be his path to Real Madrid. He spent seven successful seasons at Chelsea before moving to Madrid in 2019 for a £160m transfer including add-ons.

The move to Madrid has now gone as planned, he has suffered from a lot of injuries, questions over his professionalism for not watching his diet and poor performances when fit. All of these situations were managed by Zidane until his departure, now Carlo Ancelotti doesn't fancy him.

After Ancelotti's comment on having Brazilian youngsters Rodrygo Goes ahead of him, it's a final nail in the coffin for him. His former club Chelsea are reported to be interested in having him back to Stamford Bridge. Premier League new money boys Newcastle United could also be interested.
