Did the COVID-19 vaccine cause myocarditis in Alphonso Davies?

The player will have to undergo further studies to know the extent of his illness, but for the time being his early retirement from the courts seems almost a fact. 

For example, the Canadian national team has already provided information on the matter and has indicated that the player is definitely out for the next World Cup qualifiers. 

Through a statement, the Canadian national team said:

"Alphonso Davies will miss the upcoming 2022 FIFA winter international window for a trio of matches in the final round of CONCACAF FIFA World Cup Qualifiers." 

On Bayern's side the situation is similar and the team's coach also released a statement to inform the team's supporters that Davies is out of the team as he has to heal completely. 

Julian Nagelsmann's statement read as follows: "In the examination we do on every player who has gone through a Coronavirus infection we have detected a slight inflammation of the myocardium. He will not be available for the next few weeks because the inflammation has to heal completely."
