Last week, former Barcelona coach Enrique "Quique" Setién criticized Lionel Messi and said he is a difficult player to handle. In addition, the Spanish press revealed a heated discussion between the Argentinean and the Spanish coach. In that discussion, Setién told the Barcelona striker that if he didn't like how things where going, he could leave the club.

At a press conference, the current coach of the Catalan club, Dutchman Ronald Koeman, supported the 33-year-old superstar and said that he is not a difficult player to deal with. In addition, he said that he talks to him every day and that he considers him one of the best footballers in history.

Quique Setién was sacked from the culé club after the historic 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals of the 2020 Champions League. During his time with the team, he accumulated 16 wins, four draws and five losses in 25  games managed. He did not won any titles.

On the other hand, since his arrival at Barcelona on August 19th, 2020, Ronald Koeman has disputed eight games. In total, the Netherlands coach has a record of four wins, two draws and two losses. Last week, the 57-year-old coach was beaten 2-1 by Real Madrid in El Clasico.
