With only 17 years old, Alphonso Davies became one of the most glittering transfer movements of the 2018 market in Europe. The Canadian, born in a refugee camp in Ghana, was sold from Vancouver Whitecaps to Bayern Munich in €11.5M after two seasons in the MLS.

But the story did not end there. One of the clauses on the Davies transference agreement was that Bayern Munich should also pay €500,000 bonus if they reach to win the longed-for Champions League. With their win over PSG, the Canadian youth midfielder not only accomplished his dream but also helped his former team.

Hours later his big conquest, in his Twitter account he left a message to Canadian fans: “Who would have guessed it a kid from Canada, Edmonton Alberta. Most people don’t even know where that. Where it snows I’m talking -40 weather, he’s now a champion league winner”.
