Alves, 38 returned to the club and will only collect a salary of €1 per month, playing nearly free so as to help the club with leadership on the pitch as well as save the club some money so as to help them out of their current financial woes.
Alves passed his medical today and said he feels young despite being 38 years old but will not play until January, the reason for this was not revealed by the club and it is not due to him being signed outside of the transfer window, FIFA allows clubs to sign free agents anytime.
His unveiling would be done at the club's famous Camp Nou stadium and Cules will be able to attend the event for free but must register on the club's website to reserve seats, following the same process they follow to buy matchday tickets.
