Although the Mexican Guard1anes 2020 is not over yet, Cruz Azul is already thinking about the next season. In order to strengthen the team, the Mexican club's executives are working to extend the contract of midfielder Rafael Baca, who is one of the most important players of the team.

On the other hand, some players will not continue in the team coached by Robert Siboldi and will have to look for a new club. That is the case of Ecuadorian Jonathan Borja, who has not been able to show all his talent at Cruz Azul. He arrived in January 2020 on loan from the Ecuadorian club Nacional.

Since his arrival, the 26-year-old forward played only four games and always came in from the bench. Currently, he is not training with his teammates because he broke some rules. In addition, he tested positive for coronavirus in the last hours and that made coach Siboldi angry.

Borja is asymptomatic and does not feel any pain. Therefore, he is doing some exercises at home, while his health improves. However, he will not be able to be present at the game between Cruz Azul and Monterrey this Sunday for the penultimate week of the Mexican tournament.
