Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most competitive players in the world and a player who hates to lose and always wants to be the centre of attention wherever he is. Circumstances sometimes call for it that the spotlight is not on him and his reaction has not always been good.

He was named on the bench for the match against Chelsea by Michael Carrick, a daring call for the caretaker manager. He was brought on for Jadon Sancho who had opened the scoring in the 64th minute with the scores still at 1-0 but Chelsea equalised five minutes after he came on.

Ronaldo made just seven touches and five passes in his 26 minutes on the pitch as Chelsea totally dominated the match. He headed straight for the tunnel after the match and was seen muttering to himself, the second time it would happen this season after the 1-1 draw against Everton, a match Ronaldo also started on the bench.

As a top level professional of almost 20 years, such incessant behaviours sometimes don't portray competitive mentality but disrespect to colleagues. It doesn't always go your way and you have to accept and maintain sportsmanship.
