Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best footballers of this generation and has been on the scene for almost 20 years now and at 36 is gradually declining in fitness and could be nearing the end of his amazing career but when does he plan to retire?

Ronaldo has not discussed when he wants to retire from football. When he joined Real Madrid, Madrid doctors told him he can play till he is 38 and with just two years left to that, he could make do on the prediction by the doctors and retire afterwards.

He still plays for his country Portugal and won the Euro 2016, he plans to retire from international football after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar next year. He has been playing for Portugal since 2003 and has scored over 100 goals.

In an interview in 2019, he said his son doesn't want him to retire until they play together. His son is 11years old and that may be difficult unless he will break the record of Bolivian footballer Mauricio Baldivieso who made his professional debut at the age of 12 in 2009.
