Manchester United needed a point in their Champions League match against Atalanta and Mr Champions League came up with an injury-time winner and got a point for Manchester United to keep their hope of easy passage to the knockout stages alive.

 

United began their Champions League campaign with an embarrassing 2-1 loss to Young Boys before beating Villarreal 2-1 and then a 3-2 win over Atalanta at Old Trafford. Ronaldo has scored in all matches and yet again he came up to help the club secure a vital point, not only that he ensured Atalanta got two points less than they deserved.

 

Ronaldo has the best numbers in most important categories in the UEFA Champions League, he has the highest appearance with 180, most goals with 139, most goals in the knockout stage with 67, most goals in a season with 17 in the 2013/14 season.

 

He also has the highest number of titles won in the competition with five titles, one at Manchester United in 2008 and three with Real Madrid in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018 and he's also the only player to score in 11 Champions League matches.
