Cristiano Ronaldo has stunned the whole world of soccer after achieving what was labeled as the record for the highest number of goals ever scored in history. His benchmark was Czech Republic’s Josef Bican, who had allegedly netted 759 goals between 1931 and 1956. Now, after eventually beating that figure, discussions have started.
The Portuguese has now 760 goals, he would be the new king, despite a detail: some articles posted both in UEFA’s and FIFA’s websites claim Bican has score 805 goals instead. That woud move the Juventus star back to second place again. And with a bit of nation pride, from Czech Republic’s History and Statistics Committee, they raise the number a bit more.

According to that institute’s director, Jaroslav Kolar, Josef Bican has netted 821 goals, so Cristiano Ronaldo could have to score lots of goals for one more season, at least, to overtake him.
“From all Bican’s goals you must take the official ones, which is not an easy task. Our research in prestigious webs claim 805 goals counting the ones he scored in 1952 playing in second division for Hradec Králove”, said Kolar. And he added they found out Bican had scored 53 goals in 26 matches, assuring they double-check every bit of data.
Therefore, Czech Republic claims Bican has scored 821 goals and Cristiano Ronaldo still has 62 more to score from now on. Also, Pelé and Messi are arguing their own battle: stats say the Argentinian has scored the highest number of goals for a single club, 643 for Barcelona, and some people in Brazil stated Pelé did so 1,091 times.
