If there is a big responsibility you must assume when you become a professional soccer player is to take care of your own body. There are some very few exceptions of players who loved eating and living night life. In the very opposite end, there is superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese has always liked to exhibit a very worked-out body and made his hard training a lifestyle.

But even the most exemplary and professional athletes like him can have a day-off in terms of their health care or their training routines. He has recognized a few times that even though he is a responsible person who takes enough care of his health (is there any ‘enough’ for a man like him?), he still has some weaknesses. His mother explained a bit more.

“My son loves having pizza, but then he works his abs out to compensate that”, has told Dolores Aveiro, Cristiano’s mother, to Portuguese TV presenter Pedro Fernandes. During the chat, held in Aveiro’s house in Madeira island, she also revealed the striker likes ‘bacalhau a bràs’, which basically is codfish with scrambled eggs and French fries.

As for himself, Cristiano Ronaldo had previously confirmed his mother’s statement, by saying: “The only key is to take care of your own body, hard training and proper recovering. Despite that sometimes I have pizza with my son, otherwise, it would be boring”.
