The past few weeks leading to the international break have been very bad for Cristiano Ronaldo and his club Manchester United. They had a very poor run of results and had humiliating defeats to rivals Liverpool and Manchester United.

The international break was supposed to bring some breath of freshness for the 36 year old, it has instead brought more reproach to him. He has failed to score in the two games he played for Serbia. The first against the Republic of Ireland ended in a draw and the second in an embarrassing 2-1 loss to Serbia.

If Cristiano Ronaldo must play at the 2022 FIFA World Cup which could be his last, Portugal must face a cruel playoffs and must be one of the three teams out of 12 that will participate to make it out or we could witness a World Cup without Cristiano Ronaldo.

The problem at Manchester United is based solely on the managerial position of Ole Gunnar Solskjær which has been under questions for months now. Ronaldo's arrival hasn't done much to help the team, it has heaped further pressure on the team and they must work to turn it around as soon as possible and Ronaldo will be important.
