Cristiano Ronaldo landed in Juventus on July 2018, when he decided to leave Real Madrid and joined the Italian side in a $100 million transfer that make him the best paid player in Serie A. Since then, the Portuguese attacker has scored 87 goals in 112 games played and been the best player from Juve.
For that reason, it was very surprising the gesture that head coach Andrea Pirlo had with Cristiano this Tuesday. The manager replaced CR7 in the first game of the semifinal of Coppa Italy against Inter. The forward scored two goals and abandoned the field on the 76th minute, as Álvaro Morata entered.
The face of Cristiano when he noticed that Pirlo quitted him was very clear. Despite he scored two goals, the attacker may have thought that there was still some time to help his team enlarging the difference on the scoreboard. Despite that, Pirlo sent him out and sat him on the bench.
Now, Juventus will have to play against Inter in their stadium to define which team will arrive to the final game, whilst Atalanta and Napoli face in the other round. The international press made the video of the reaction of Cristiano when Pirlo replaced him viral and that could bring problems in the locker room of the team.
