In recent weeks, Zinedine Zidane has had some movement on his mobile phone. The French coach, without a team since he left Real Madrid last summer, received the call from Newcastle, refusing to coach the team as he was not too interested in a project that was not yet formed and without guarantees of classifying Europe in the short term in a too competitive league.

But a call that he has seen with different eyes is that of Manchester United. The Red Devils have tested their situation and would be interested in having Zidane as a coach. The team's progress is not very good.

In the Premier League, United is sixth, having won just four out of eight games, with a painful 4-2 loss to Leicester last weekend that set off alarms at Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is being more questioned than ever for his approaches and the team's performance, without finishing getting all the game expected from Cristiano Ronaldo.

It is not the first time that the Norwegian coach has been criticized and his position is in serious danger. Already last season he redirected the situation after a somewhat complicated period, but United, after a summer where they have invested a lot of money in transfers, need results as soon as possible and neither in the Premier nor in the Champions League is proving to be a strong team.
