Millions of fans across the world will be tuned at 15:00 U.K time as Cristiano Ronaldo prepares to make his second debut as a Manchester United player. The 36-year-old rejoined the club this summer in a £13m deal from Italian giants, Juventus. After 12 years playing in the Spanish La Liga and the Italian Serie A, Cristiano Ronaldo will once again grace the pitches of EPL teams.

As the world awaits Cristiano Ronaldo's debut, everyone would also be keen to see where the Portuguese forward is deployed. Ronaldo is a prolific forward blessed with blistering pace and a superior ability to score goals. He scored a total of 101 goals in 134 matches during his 3-year spell at Juventus. He also recently set a new record for the most goals scored in the men's international game. Also, he is blessed with pace, trickery and excellent dribbling skills that he unleashes on players mostly on the wings. So the question is which position would Cristiano Ronaldo play in at Manchester United.

The decision lies with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and how he wants to set up his attacking department. At the moment, the coach has Edinson Cavani, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Cristiano Ronaldo at his disposal for the attacking berths. Marcus Rashford is still recuperating from his shoulder operation and thus, not available for selection while Amad Diallo is also out injured. Lining up with a classic front 3, Solskjaer will want to find a way to accommodate his star player.

The abundance of stars at United means that some big names will sit on the bench. For Saturday's clash against Newcastle United Cristiano Ronaldo would likely be deployed on the left wing with Mason Greenwood taking up the central attacking position while Jadon Sancho posts up on the right. Both Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial could come in as substitutes for Greenwood and Ronaldo later in the game.

However, when Marcus Rashford fully recovers from shoulder surgery, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might prefer to move Cristiano Ronaldo to the No 9 position while Rashford takes his place on the left-wing. This would mean that Mason Greenwood drops to the bench, same as Edinson Cavani. A lack of game time might see Cavani leave Old Trafford in January. On the right-wing, it would be a straight battle between Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho on who is first-choice.
