Cristiano Ronaldo & Old Trafford fans created a new tradition with "Siiiiiiii" goal celebration

Cristiano Ronaldo made his second debut for Manchester United on Saturday against Newcastle United at Old Trafford. The Portuguese superstar had an emotional welcome back as thousands of fans flooded the streets of Manchester to witness the return of the United golden boy. Ronaldo completed a sensational £13m transfer from Juventus to seal his return to the Theatre of Dreams.

In his debut match against the Magpies, Cristiano Ronaldo found the back of the net 2 times to push Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United side to a 4-1 victory. Ronaldo scored his first goal in his second spell for United on the stroke of half-time as he capitalised on a Mason Greenwood shot that was spilt by Newcastle goalkeeper, Freddie Woodman. He then ran on to a Luke Shaw cross to complete his brace in the 62nd minute of the match.

As Cristiano Ronaldo scored his goals, he performed his signature "Siiiiiiii" goal celebration routine and it was a beauty to behold. This is the first time the 5-time Ballon d'Or winner would get the chance to showcase his goal celebration and the fans absolutely loved it. His signature "Siiiiiii" goal celebration involves Ronaldo making a small run, jumping and doing a turn in mid-air, he then lands with his feet apart and his hands thrown beside him and shouts "Siiiiiiii" which is the Spanish word for "Yes."

The Old Trafford fans also joined him in shouting "Siiiiii" on both occasions that Cristiano Ronaldo scored and the noise was thunderous. This seems it would be the tradition and many teams will come to Old Trafford with the fear of the inevitable shout of "Siiiiii" when Cristiano Ronaldo scores. The fans will also get many opportunities to join him in his celebration as Ronaldo is a prolific goalscorer, with just 13 goals left before he hits 800 career goals in all competitions for club and country.
