Crisis at Real Madrid: Zinedine Zidane ignored a player and he exploded against his coach

Things are not going as good as they would like in Real Madrid. The team lost in semifinals in Spanish Supercup against the eventual winner Athletic Club and when everybody thought that the chaos in the dressing room was a thing of the past, another conflict came up, and this time it got to a point of no return.

This is because a player feels that Zinedine Zidane is ruining his career. He brought him back from a successful loan before it was due just to make him warm the bench, and when he asked for more gametime, Zizou told him he was going to play more but at the end, the French manager ended up breaking his promise.

This is why Martin Odegaard asked to leave Real Madrid. He was happy at Real Sociedad, and went back just to stop playing at all. The Norwegian feels undervalued and wants his career to have a new boost somewhere else, where he can have more opportunities and become what people expected of him.

The only certain thing is that the conflict has no way back. Odegaard trusted Zidane to deliver what he promised, but that never happened, not even when he was told to play, in that match versus Athletic. The midfielder did not ever warm up and trained alone after the game.
