The LA Galaxy was only able to beat the Vancouver Whitecaps in the 90th minute of the game thanks to an agonizing goal from Kai Koreniuk. This victory was very celebrated as they came from a 6-game streak without being able to get 3 points. The particularity of the game was that Barros Schelotto did not include Chicharito Hernandez in the 11 players who started the game.

Chicharito Hernandez has not been able to score a goal for more than 7 games and every time he started as a substitute his team won the game. While some might consider this supernatural, the truth is that the LA Galaxy plays better when Hernandez is not on the field of play.

In this case, Barros Schelotto decided that Hernandez's position would be filled by the new addition Yony Gonzalez. At 50 minutes into the second period, Barros Schelloto was forced to trade Hernandez for Gonzalez as he was injured. This subtitution was not in the plans of Barros Schelotto and he only did it due to the injury of his main forward.

Clearly today Chicharito is no longer in the consideration of the Argentine coach and LA Galaxy fans appreciate this decision. To make matters worse, when Hernandez entered, he missed a goal that was very easy to achieve. The relationship between Hernandez and Barros Schelotto is broken and the best thing for both is that this season ends as quickly as possible.
