Raúl Jiménez has transformed himself into the best Mexican striker of the year, replacing Chicharito Hernández. The attacker from LA Galaxy is the all-time top scorer of Mexico national team and was the favorite one of the fans, but Jiménez is having a tremendous year and clearly replaced him.

The forward who plays at Wolverhampton scored two goals in the same number of matches during the last FIFA international break of the year. He first did it against South-Korea and later once again to Japan. With that two balls netted he transformed into the 10th Mexican all-time top scorer with 26 goals.

Chicharito had an awful season with LA Galaxy. While his team didn’t make it to the MLS Cup Playoffs, the attacker scored only one goal after 11 matches played and suffered some injuries. At the age of 32 he will have to work very hard to earn a place on the national team for the next World Cup.

After the games of November, Jiménez was named on FIFA best XI of the break, sharing the attack with Ferrán Torres and Olivier Giroud. With 29 years, he is playing for Wolves since the Premier League side signed him for $40 million from Benfica on July 2019. His great moment make teams such as Juventus or Manchester United put an eye on him.
