If one reviews the history of Chivas and Cruz Azul, there is a player who agrees and who is one of the best of all time: Carlos El Gullit Peña. The midfielder marked an era in both teams and today, at the age of 31, he has become a true "globetrotter". In that sense, in the last hours his new team was confirmed.

The Mexican signed a contract with Antigua GFC, in the Guatemalan National League, to live his first experience in Chapin football, where he will have the Mexican Roberto Montoya as coach. His new team will try to return to the top positions in their domestic tournament, after last season they were saved from relegation in an agonizing way.

"Antigua GFC makes official the arrival of its new world-class player, Carlos‘ El Gullit ’Peña," reported the Antigueño club on its social networks, adding that they will be looking for the fifth star of champions.

The trajectory of Carlos Peña

Peña comes from the FAS in El Salvador where he played 21 games and scored four goals for a total of 1,513 minutes played. He had previously played in clubs such as: León, Chivas of Guadalajara, Cruz Azul, Necaxa, Rangers FC of Scotland.

Antigua GFC reinforcements

Currently, El Gullit Peña joins the reinforcements: Frank de León, Kevyn Aguilar, Heriberto Olvera (Mexico), Pedro Báez (Paraguay), Diego Navas, Santos Crisanto, Romario Da Silva (Brazil), César Archila, Braulio Linares , Omar Morales (Mexico) and Elder Guardado.
