Do you like Serie A? Well, if you do, perhaps your heart supports Inter Milan, Juventus, AS Roma or AC Milan, among some other strong teams. They field some of the best soccer players in the world like Romelu Lukaku, Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Cristiano Ronaldo. They all raise lots of money. But there is a man who envies just one of them, it’s Saul Canelo Alvarez.

The Mexican boxer is ahead of a big combat against Turkish fighter Avni Yildirim. The event will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL. 29-year-old Yildirim will try to steal two titles from Canelo Alvarez’ hands on Saturday. No matter what it happens, the Mexican star has already made sure to earn lots of money. And seriously, when we say lots of money, it does mean lots of money.

The fight purse for this combat will report no less than $30 million for the Mexican. We told you, it is a lot of money. What does Serie A have to do in this? Canelo Alvarez would be Serie A’s second-best paid player should we transfer him to any club in the Italian’s top flight soccer league. And only Cristiano Ronaldo can be on top of him.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport’s salary-leaking from a few months ago, Cristiano Ronaldo has a wage of $37.5 million per year, and his team-mate Mathijs De Ligt is the second best-paid player in the league, earning ‘just’ $9.68 million. In middle of that, Canelo Alvarez could move the Dutch defender aside and rank himself behind the Portuguese.
