The return of Joan Laporta to the presidency of Barcelona caused the tense climate that existed in the club under the mandate of Josep María Bartomeu to change to one of greater tranquility. And with the aim of assisting Lionel Messi to renew his contract with the entity, the new president has decided to make drastic decisions in the assembly of the team. In that sense, he placed a "for sale" sign on four of his figures.

The first three players on this roster are athletes, for which the Catalans invested a lot of money at the time, but due to various situations today they would be opening the exit door. One of the names is Antoine Griezmann. The Frenchman, who this season played 40 duels, in which he scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists, has not finished finding his place within Ronald Koeman's 11 or forming a trustworthy partnership with Lionel Messi.

A similar case is that of the Brazilian Philippe Coutinho, who arrived in January 2018 after a large sum of money to get him out of Liverpool. The midfielder, between injuries and irregular performances, would be listed by Barça at an amount close to 50 million euros. The other on the list is Samuel Umtiti, who knew how to be a defensive pillar for the culé, but a long string of injuries caused the leadership to let go of the French central marker.

Ousmane Dembélé could also emigrate, although the decision to leave him will be tied to his response to the offer to renew his relationship (it ends in mid-2022) with a lower salary. If the French striker does not accept the new proposal, the Barcelona leaders consider that the best option would be to sell it and recover part of the investment despite playing his best season since he arrived at the institution (9 goals and 4 assists in 35 duels).
