Mauricio Pochettino took over Paris Saint-Germain and it was expected some kind of revolutionary transfer windows. Many high profile players have had their names called in regards to a possible move to PSG, with the GOAT Lionel Messi being by far the most important of those.

But there was a player that Pochettino wanted the most, because he had worked with him before at Tottenham Hotspur and currently was going through a bad moment with his club. But today, his hopes were crushed as Sky Sports reported that the player will keep playing under Jose Mourinho this season.

According to those reports, Tottenham will not sell nor loan out Dele Alli in this transfer window, as Jose Mourinho expects the English international to stay and fight for a place in the team, at least for what remains of the season. He was one of the favourites of the Argentinian, but Poch will have to wait at least six months.

Pochettino will make his debut as PSG manager in two days, visiting Saint-Etienne. With his players rested and unwinded after the Ligue 1 break for the New Years Eve, they will be ready to challenge again for the first place of the league they have been dominating for years and years.
